Privacy policy
This policy covers txstateparks.com and the State Park Travelers Guide iPhone app, both run by GBY Media LLC. The short version: no accounts, no ads, no tracking, and what you save in the app stays on your phone.

Who we are
GBY Media LLC, a Texas company (gbymedia.co). For privacy questions or requests, email info@gbymedia.co.
The iPhone app
- No account
- You don't sign up or sign in. We don't ask for your name, email or phone number.
- Your saved data stays on your phone
- Favorites, notes and the parks you mark as visited are stored on your device only. We never receive them. Deleting the app deletes them.
- Location
- If you allow it, the app uses your location while it's open to show parks near you and to check you in at a park. Your location is used on the phone and is never sent to us or anyone else. The app never uses location in the background. You can turn it off any time in iPhone Settings, and the app still works.
- No analytics, ads or tracking
- The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code and doesn't track you across other apps or websites.
- Photos and links
- Park photos load from Wikimedia Commons, which receives the standard request information (such as your IP address) when an image loads. Official park and reservation pages open from Texas Parks and Wildlife Department websites, which have their own privacy policies.
- Subscriptions
- If you buy a subscription, Apple handles the payment; we never see your card or Apple ID details. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives a random app user ID and your purchase history from Apple, not your name or email. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
The website
- No cookies, no analytics and no ads.
- The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (IP address, browser, pages requested) to serve and protect the site.
- Maps load tiles from OpenFreeMap, which receives standard request data when a map is shown.
- Fonts are served from this site, not a third party.
Selling and sharing
We don't sell personal information and don't share it for advertising.
Children
The site and app aren't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices and rights
Because your app data is stored only on your phone, you control it: delete a note or visit in the app, or delete the app to remove everything. To ask about any data we or our providers may hold, email info@gbymedia.co and we'll respond within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app.
